The Gogoro 2 Utility is an electric cargo / delivery scooter from Taiwanese electric scooter brand Gogoro, a subsidiary of HTC, one of the biggest smart phone makers in the world.
The Gogoro 2 Utility is a special edition of the 2 Series. The 2 Series offers almost the same performance as the Gogoro 1 but has a much lower price.
The 2 Series Utility is equiped with a carrying rack capable of holding up to 45kg of cargo. The scooter is designed to transport up to 160kg cargo with optimal driving performance, also in mountain environments with steep hills. The scooter is available with many types of top cases and cargo boxes for many types of business purposes.
The scooter is specially optimized for cargo / delivery purposes. The scooter has a specially tuned suspension system, a reverse gear and a extra heavy duty kick stand capable of stabily parking the scooter while heavily loaded.
The scooter is equipped with dual disc brakes, regenerative braking (engine braking) and Synchronized Braking System (SBS) that delivers simultaneous braking force to the front and rear wheels, balancing stopping force to reduce slips when hard braking or during panic stops while carrying heavy cargo. The scooter has a top speed of 90 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 50 km/h in 4.3 seconds. The Gogoro scooter is optimized for safety and IPX5 waterproof, enabling the scooter to drive trough water. The scooter will enable to continue driving during floods and storms while most petrol scooters will fail.
The speed of the scooter can be restricted to be officially registered as 45km/h scooter in Europe.
The scooter is equipped with regenerative braking that will return power to the batteries and that helps to reduce air pollution from disc brakes.

In a study published January 31, 2017 in the journal Environmental Science & Technology, researchers described how vehicle-emitted metals from disc brakes such as copper, iron and manganese interact with acidic sulfate-rich particles already in the air to produce a toxic aerosol.
“There’s a chain reaction happening in the air,” said Rodney Weber, a professor in Georgia Tech’s School of Earth & Atmospheric Sciences. “Acidic sulfate in the atmosphere comes into contact with those metals emitted from disc brakes and changes their solubility, making them more likely to cause oxidative stress when inhaled.”

Battery Swap network
Unlike other electric scooters that charge via a wall outlet, the Gogoro is provided with a battery subscription and a network of GoStation battery swapping stations. It takes just 6 seconds to swap the battery for a new charged battery.
Next to the battery swap network Gogoro also offers a charging station called a GoCharger that charges both batteries in 2.5 hours.
The range of the batteries is 110 km.
